As a group of companies with multiple data sources from which reports of different natures (financial, inventory, production, etc.) are extracted, these reports were evidence that the information was the result of isolated efforts among each area. However, the problem was amplified because they had not been able to consistently unify the information from all the companies that make up the group.
Solution
The approach consisted of working on two simultaneous lines of action to meet the needs for data integration and analysis. On one hand, a corporate data warehouse (EDWH, Enterprise Data Warehouse) was built, creating a centralized system to integrate the wide variety of sources, from CRMs and ERPs to spreadsheets with sensitive information that had previously been managed manually.
